Concepts of Utility:

(1) Initial Utility: The utility derived from the first unit of a commodity is called initial utility. Utility derived from the first piece of bread is called initial utility. Thus, initial utility, is the utility obtained from the
consumption of the first unit of a commodity. It is always positive.
