b) Though Adam Smith could ignore the problem of distributive justice that is the problem of inequalities of income and wealth because of the underdevelopment of the economy during his days, it could not be
avoided for long, particularly because the fruits of economic growth and riches were not reaching the masses. With growing national income, the rich were becoming richer and the poor were becoming poorer.
